Figure 9 Knot
Similar to the figure 8 on a bight, the figure 9 is also commonly used and a termination knot for rigging ropes, and also provides one of the lowest strength loss values. Due to the extra ‘turn’ in tying the figure 9, it can be more difficult to adjust and dress than the figure 8.
